If you are on the job hunt, let us help! Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Staff Accountant to support our client's finance team in Tampa. You'll be working in a collaborative environment focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with GAAP
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
  • Support accounts payable and receivable operations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist with audits and prepare requested reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify discrepancies and enhance processes
  • (Optional advanced responsibilities) Lead integration of new acquisitions, support budgeting and financial planning, manage invoicing and sales tax filings, perform variance analysis, and contribute to special projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience (public or corporate)
  • Solid understanding of GAAP principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP, Infor)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively
